About the Role
Reporting line: to Country Legal Head
Major accountabilities:
- Act as a legal Business Partner to China lead team members in all activities from contractual negotiations to fulfilling statutory obligations.
- Draft contracts independently and provide complex and contextual legal advice and guidance (incl. training of key customers in specified legal areas).
- Identify risks relating to business activities and potential solutions thereof; raise business’ awareness of legal issues and ensure early legal involvement.
- Conduct robust risk assessments that substantiate recommendations, and advise on and determine appropriate actions to support the management decision processes.
- Manage disputes and litigation and/or external investigations.
- Lead large or complex legal projects and transactions based on deep legal expertise and provide legal support for commercial initiatives and activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience:
- Solid experiences at reputable law firm. 8+years PQE.
- Overseas education and experience is a plus.
- Understanding of the role of in-house legal team.
Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Business Acumen and ability to provide pragmatic solutions.
- Compliance risk awareness.
- Conflict Management.
- Experiences in advising pharmaceutical sector business activities is a plus.
Languages :
- Fluent in English and Chinese
