As a valued member of the Manufacturing Execution Systems' team at Novartis Austria, you will have the invaluable opportunity to gain experience of working at one of Austria's most innovative drug manufacturing plants where you will play a central role in supporting the manufacture of complex biological drug products. As a result of your efforts, and in close collaboration with other valued members of our automation team, you will play a decisive role in supporting the manufacture and delivery of medicines to patients while at the same time improving access to life-saving treatments for those in greatest need both at home and around the world.

About the Role

Main Accountabilities

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding the manufacturing process of drug product and how it translates into MES PAS-X

  • Providing technical expertise for MES PAS-X software implementation and testing, including master batch record authoring, interface configuration, user and audit trail management

  • Performing root cause investigation and correction of errors and bugs in the MES PAS-X

  • Collaborating closely with local automation engineers and process experts into identifying improvements and propose solutions for MES PAS-X

  • Maintaining Lifecycle documents, Functional Specifications and Test Documents

  • Training of production and quality personal on MES PAS-X

  • Supporting health authority inspections, audits and periodic validation reviews

What you will bring to the role:

Essential:

  • Background in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or in a related field

  • Two years experience of working in or with a food, drug or medical device regulated industry

  • Fluency in German and English

  • Experience and / or knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems

  • Ability to translate business language into automation language

Desirable:

  • Experience with PAS-X and with SAP

  • Practical knowledge of Computerized Systems' Validation (CSV)

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For our regular Manufacturing Systems' Expert position the minimum salary is €64,023.54 per year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
